Lean Out Challenge
Are you ready to get healthy and fit but have no idea where to start?
You’ve tried every diet known to man, took away all of your carbs and still haven’t seen results?
Is that you?
Well, that was me too!
After the birth of my beautiful bouncing baby boy, I needed to lose 60 pounds.
There is no easy solution to weight loss. It takes discipline, self-control and a shift in your mindset to stick to it.
But if you do it in small chunks of time, for example, 7 days, I’ve found that I have been more successful in keeping the weight off.
Because studies show that having weekly goals improves your mindset.
In addition, the shift goes from just losing weight, to actually incorporating a healthy lifestyle.
And it really is about a healthy lifestyle right?
So here are a few tips that you can incorporate over the next 7 days to help you get on track.
-Eliminate Certain Foods:
Start with the things that are easiest to let go of first.
For example, juice, soda, alcohol and fast food. They are easy to substitute and you’ll realize how much money you’ve saved my the end of the week.
-Start To Move Your Body:
Start with an easy exercise routine. For example, taking the stairs at work instead of the elevator.
Parking the car a little further away from the entrance of your workplace or store if you’re shopping.
And taking the dog for a longer walk than usual. The weather is perfect for it now that we are in summer.
-Make Cooking A Family Affair
Cooking together is a great way to spend time together as a family. And studies show that getting healthy together as a family leads to long-term success.
Start with a weekly recipe and get the whole family involved when deciding on what to make.
In addition, implementing good eating habits earlier in childhood can lead to healthier adults.
So what does this all mean?
Well, first, you’re on track to becoming a healthier version of yourself. Taking little steps weekly toward your goals is a great way to get started.
Write down your success and failures. Re-evaluate. And start again fresh next week.
You’ll see over time, that you will be healthier, stronger and have a shift in your mindset that will lead you to long-term success.
I’m rooting for you!
